DEVELOPMENT OF AN INVENTORY CONTROL SYSTEM IN A CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS COMPANY

Inventory control has become a key factor in the operational efficiency of manufacturing companies. This article presents the implementation of an inventory control system based on ABC analysis, withdrawal Kanban cards, visual management, and a single-entry digital recording platform. The proposal was applied in a company located in the Bajío region of Mexico, achieving improvements in inventory accuracy, a reduction in inconsistencies, and optimization of inventory turnover indicators. The results show that integrating visual and digital tools strengthens operational discipline and offers a replicable model for companies seeking to increase their competitiveness in the construction materials industry.
